RENT OR BUY EVAP

You’ve bought your first ESP evap machine. Now what?
Firstly unpack everything. Check that you have 3 adaptors; black, blue, & red, with the necessary washers in this order; foam, spacer, lastly the thin sealing washer. You’ll need to buy extra washers… You should also have 2 x 16” approved clamping pliers. Next, attach the red hose with the quick disconnects, then attach your large regulator to your refillable bottle of nitrogent…. put your thumb over the end and turn it on… set the gauge to 80 PSI.. remove your thumb and try again. Now, attach the blue hose to the regulators… turn on the bottle and check for leaks, you can spray with Windex or a similar product. NOTE; when turning on your nitrogen bottle, DO IT SLOWLY, otherwise you could blow a hose off inside the unit.

Calibrate your ESP evap machine
Turn on your evap and the bottle regulator… wait 10 mins for the gases to settle… scroll down to status, push the enter button twice, the screen will show about 32 PSI… if needed adjust the small regulator in the cabinet slightly so the screen reads 32 PSI… press ESC twice and scroll up to calibration, press enter to start a calibration… follow the prompts… ONLY connect the hose to the calibration tank when told to do so… set the valve to the middle position OFF & start the calibration… do NOT rush the calibration… when u turn the valve count to 5 then press enter button. The ESP evap does not give any information during the calibration and at the end automatically logs the results… AFTER 10 FAILED CALIBRATIONS, YOUR UNIT WILL LOCK YOU OUT… always call us after 2 failed calibrations.

Setup your Waekon evap tester for your shop
Evaps are now Plug & Play…. When using with your ESP/OPUS BAR97 smog machine you no longer have to contact OPUS / ESP…. connect the serial wire and select “station manager functions” click on it. now select “evap tester record purge” and click on it… the machine will say “purge successful” if everything is working fine. if not it will say “purge failed”… it may take a couple of tries… During this process your station number will be installed in to your Waekon…
When using with your Worldwide BAR97 smog machine you no longer have to contact OPUS / ESP…. connect the serial wire and select “station manager menu” click on it. now select “LPFET test settings” and click on it… now select purge LPFET test records… follow prompts… it may take a couple of tries… Once your Waekon is working correctly… call Worldwide and ask them to put your station number in to your Waekon…

My ESP will not calibrate
Check to see if your regulators are maintaining the correct PSI, 80 & 32… Scroll down to STATUS, Press enter twice & note the PSI Return in 5 mins & check the PSI. Usually the PSI will climb 0.5 Press ESC then enter, note the PSI, Return in 10 mins & check the PSI, it should only climb 0.5, If it has climbed 1.0 or more, the small regulator in the cabinet is bad. If your regulator is bad, the longer you leave it on status, the higher the PSI will climb.
